Alison
Marlow, BA AVCM MIDTA
Alison is a qualified teacher with separate specialist qualifications
in dance (Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Ballroom, Latin American
and Freestyle), Drama (Acting) and Singing (Musical Theatre).
She is a professional performer with West End stage experience
and television ranging from Songs of Praise to Come Dancing!
A successful teacher, Alison has taught several UK National
Scholarship winners and is now in demand as a lecturer and
choreographer.

Chris
Marlow, BA MA PGCE LLCM MIDTA
Chris is a qualified teacher of both Dance and Drama, specialising
in Voice, Speech and Acting. A former professional performer,
Chris has experience in cabaret, stage and television, most
recently as technical advisor to the hit BBC1 series "Born
and Bred" and as children's cast tutor on the UK tour
of The Sound of Music, starring Connie Fisher. He is a member
of Equity and an Examiner in Dance (UKA), Speech and Drama
(LAMDA) and an Adjudicator for the British and International
Federation of Festivals for whom he travels worldwide. |

Helen Rothwell, AITDA AUKA
Helen is an Associate of the United Kingdon Alliance
(UKA) and International Dance Teacher's Association (IDTA)
and is a specialist in Ballet, Tap and Modern Jazz dance.
She teaches across the age range, from beginner to advanced
and enjoys sharing her expertise. Helen is also a busy teacher
of Street dance where her pupils appreciate her calm and encouraging
manner.
In September 2005 Helen left RDDC to teach in Cyprus for a
year. She returned enriched by the experience and with plenty
of vivid memories of her adventure! In 2008 Helen was appointed
a Partner of RDDC, joining Alison, Chris and LIanne in the
leadership team.

Lianne Tattersall, AITDA AUKA
Lianne holds several Associate level qualifications
and is also a qualified teacher of Exercise to Music (fitness).
At RDDC she teaches a full range of classes and lessons in
Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Musical Theatre and Street. Choreography
is one of Lianne's special interests and she especially enjoys
using her creative talents to devise group routines for shows
and performances.
Lianne is also our Work Experience Co-Ordiantor, responsible
for liaising with the Year 10 & 11 students who join us
on a termly basis for the work experience placements. Highly
regarded at RDDC, Lianne is an encouraging and popular teacher
dedicated to her pupils and their development. She was appointed
a Partner of RDDC in 2008, and joins Alison, Chris and Helen
in the leadership team.

Elyse
Wood
Elyse is our receptionist and administrator, with special
responsibility for merchandise - dancewear, toys, books etc.
She works Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, always
a friendly face to greet you and a willing source of help
and advice.
Elyse was formerly manager of The Design Company and spent
many years in the jewellery trade from which she holds the
National Association of Goldsmiths' Diploma. Married to Michael,
an enthusiastic sailor, she is sometimes to be found 'crewing'
in the Lake District!

Julie
Lyons
Our premises at RDDC (Waterfoot centre) are kept spick and
span thanks to the efforts of Julie, our cleaner. Julie, who
was previously employed by Sainsburys is also a parent of
four girls, one of whom attends RDDC for lessons! Truly a
family concern. |

Hannah
Taylor, AITDA
Hannah is a full time teacher at RDDC and is working towards
further Associate level qualifications. Hannah enjoys all
Theatre Branch work - Ballet, Tap & Modern Jazz - with
children of all ages and abilities. An enthusiast for Ballroom,
Latin American and Salsa dance, Hannah very much enjoys teaching
adult classes.

Jane Schofield
Jane is a receptionist at RDDC Waterfoot Thursdays and Fridays
and Ramsbottom on Saturdays. Pleasant and helpful Jane can
be relied upon to guide and reassure pupils whatever their
age! Aside from RDDC, Jane is company director in a family
firm, Fire Extinguisher Rentals Ltd., Bury and is an executive
committee member of BYTES, the youth section of BAODS, Bacup
Amatuer Operatic and Dramatic Society. Married with three
children, Jane looks forward to welcoming you to RDDC. |

Jenny
Barnes, AITDA
Jenny is a full time teacher at RDDC, responsible
for a range of classes in Ballet, Tap, Modern Jazz, Street,
Irish and Ballroom. Jenny is a multiple UKA National Theatre
Dance Scholarship winner and a versatile performer.
Confusingly, you will often hear us refer to Jenny as "Jim"!
Why? Because she laughs like a 'fella'! Despite her laugh
Jenny is a very popular teacher, able to inspire both children
and adults alike.

Jemma Chrimes, BA (Hons)
Jemma studied Drama at University from where she joined RDDC
to teach acting for television, film and theatre to both children
and adults. Her classes are always fun, enjoyable and varied,
featuring voice, speech, movement, scripted and devised performances.
Jemma is also the festival co-ordinator for RDDC, responsible
for those drama pupils who compete in regional festivals at
which we have an unrivalled record of success. Ever busy,
she is also our course leader for the popular GCSE Performing
Arts course. |

Louise
Hocking
Louise is a full - time student at RDDC, studying
for a BA (Hons) in Dance Education with the Royal Academy
of Dance. She combines this with her role of teaching assistant
and can be seen in a variety of classes at both our centres.
Louise has enjoyed great success as a performer. She, like
Jenny Barnes, is a UKA National Theatre Scholarship finalist
and, more recently, danced with the Birmingham Royal Ballet
in their production of Petrushka.

Mariella Giomarelli, Molly Taylor, Melanie Simms
We refer to Mariella, Molly and Melanie as our triple M's! As teaching
assistants you will encounter one or more of them, mainly at weekends
supporting RDDC staff in classes. Teaching assistants are drawn from
our pool of senior students and are an invaluable asset to both you
and us.
All RDDC staff are CRB checked and hold first - aid
certificates. Together they make an outstanding team of dedicated
professionals eager to share their passion for dance, drama and musical
theatre with you.
VISITING TEACHERS
From time to time we invite leading teachers and performers to RDDC
to undertake masterclasses
and workshops. These events are not restricted to RDDC students -
all are welcome. Contact us for further
